Youth at Work

YES WE CAN !!!

YOUTH ACT for GOOD CAUSE.

Teenagers are volunteering their efforts and valuable weekend hours to help those less fortunate.

Members of Adare Uniting Church youth are aware that poverty and poor circumstance is not confined to overseas or areas of drought and famine as seen on television. As apart of the local church’s philosophy in line with their mission and the goal of being like Christ to others, they are looking for community support in a can drive with a difference.

On Saturday the 5th May at the Victor Harbor Coles Shopping centre, under the slogan “CAN DO” youths will ask you to buy an extra couple of cans or other non – perishable food item. You then put them in the container or the trailer as you leave.

“It is just the golden rule in action, treat others as you would like them to treat you” said a group member, “You know, like love your neighbour.”

The food will be distributed locally through the South Coast Community Care. This activity is supported by the centre management, by Coles & you!
